WISHING ALL A VERY MERRY CHRISTMAS AND A PROSPEROUS NEW YEAR!!

Now I know in today's culture HAPPY HOLIDAYS is the general expression used, however, here at The Inspiration Center it's MERRY CHRISTMAS.  It's not that we want to offend anyone, instead, we want to emphasize a very important gift that was given to all MANKIND, LOVE!!!  At no other time are people spreading love and goodwill to ALL; and if you're not, well we're extending it to YOU.

We want to encourage everyone to spread genuine LOVE in your greetings, giving and governance. It has been a very trying year for many who have either written, telephoned or walked through our doors. We never know when someone needs just a simple smile to help them through that day. Share the GIFT OF LOVE this Christmas Season and you'll receive for more than you could possibly imagine.  Until next year, keep smiling!

Wow, Fall Is Here!

Hello All,  it's been a while since I last blogged and so many new things have happened not only here at The Inspiration Center, but around the world.  However, fallishere and althoughherein San Antonio, Texas it still feels like summer, we've content  learned to be content whatever the temp.  Nevertheless children, youth and college students have returned to their classes; and parents' schedules have increased with extra-curricular activities.  Football is in full force and pretty soon every sport will be televised in the same season.

What exactly is "it" you ask? Well simply put whatever yourdreamis!  Attending class last week, I learned an additional meaning of the wordpassion,to suffer.Of course when we think of the word many other definitions come to mind i.e. something you love doing beyond anything else; or an emotional reaction to a physical stimulant. Though valid meanings, none quite get to the heart of the matter quite like"to suffer".  I'm working on a sermon series that will explore this word much further; but for this purpose I simply wanted to stir creative minds to ask a question of one's self.

It's a New School Year and We are Ready!!!!

We're so excited to begin the new school year with our new GVM program launch for grades 7-10. We will reveal GVM in mid-September, but until then just know that we have done our demographic homework.  We know the concerns of the Gen-Yers in addition to their needs, dreams and goals.  This year we are committed more than ever to create a paradigm shift for high school dropouts, teen pregnancies, drug usage and unprotected sex.  Everything done so far in the community has been a band-aid fix; we are tackling the root of the problem and extracting the poison that drives these challenges.

Firm Family Foundations

It's been a while since I've blogged and after reviewing my activity over the past months, I've decided to offer a point of view about the family foundation. Navigating between the secular and faith-based community affords me an opportunity to ask questions that people may think, but lack the courage or the interest to ask. With that in mind, I'd like to put forth this theory for for healthy conversation.

As I spoke with families from diverse backgrounds, I have yet to find that they wake up every day wanting to fail.

It's Time to Get to Work

April is designated as Child Abuse Prevention Month. While there are many activities planned, my favorite is the Blue Sunday Prayer Service. Probably because I believe in the effectual fervent prayer that changes people and circumstances.  Whatever your beliefs, there is no denying that we are indeed three-part beings: Mind, Body and Spirit. It is our spirit-man that longs to communicate with his or her Creator.  It is that something we that we look for in others to bring purpose, validate, give joy and comfort us in times of pain and sorrow.

LET'S GET ENGAGED

Hello All,

I am eternally grateful to a GOD that gives us so many second chances; and more importantly to those who are obedient to His Word.  I want to publicly thank God and thank my help meet and covering Lionel Harris, Jr for always striding with me in the work of this ministry.  His attention to detail, analytical approach, quiet wisdom and yes financial resources allows The Inspiration Center to remain a beacon of hope to those who have no hope, can't dream and are distraught with despair.
